Your contacts stay your contacts.
Numinar uses volunteer or contact data only to improve the product. It does not commercially sell phone contacts and uses industry-standard security measures.
For relational texting, the only information other volunteers can see is who was contacted and when — just as with canvassing or phone calls. Your private messages are yours.
